Direct Primary Care in Mequon, Wisconsin

A membership practice with Dr. Aaron Rosenberg, MD — you pay us directly instead of going through an insurer, so the panel stays small and your doctor has time for you.

What direct primary care actually is

Direct primary care removes the insurance middleman from your everyday medical care. Instead of billing a claim for every visit, you pay a flat monthly membership and see your doctor as often as you need to — no copay, no per-visit invoice, and no waiting weeks for an opening. Because the practice isn’t paid per visit, there’s no incentive to rush you out the door in twelve minutes.

What membership covers

Everyday care

Same or next-day visits for the things that come up: infections, injuries, rashes, questions that don't fit a scheduled physical.

Chronic conditions

Ongoing management of things like blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disease and cholesterol, with visits long enough to actually adjust the plan.

Prevention

Annual physicals, screenings, and the kind of proactive conversation that a 12-minute visit never has time for.

Questions about direct primary care

Do I still need health insurance?

Yes. Direct primary care covers your everyday primary care — visits, chronic condition management, preventive care — but not hospital stays, surgery, emergencies, specialists or prescriptions at the pharmacy. Keep an insurance plan for those. Membership is not health insurance and does not meet minimum essential coverage.

How is this different from my current doctor's office?

A typical primary care panel runs two to three thousand patients, which is what produces the twelve-minute visit and the three-week wait. A direct primary care panel is a fraction of that size, so appointments are same or next-day and visits run as long as they need to.

What does it cost?

$150 a month for one adult, or $200 a month flat for a couple, plus $20 a month per child in the same household. No copays, no per-visit charges.

Can I cancel anytime?

Membership starts with 3 months paid up front. After that you can cancel any time with 30 days' written notice. If you leave and come back later there is a $99 re-initiation fee.
